Shady Bear Productions, under the leadership of Founder and
Creative Director Anthony Robustelli, is a multi-faceted
commercial recording studio based in Brooklyn, NY with
additional recording facilities in the beautiful Catskill Mountains.
We like to think of ourselves as the studio with a vintage vibe and
thoroughly modern results. The heart of the studio is a '70s
MCI JH-636 console with John Hardy preamps and an MCI JH -24
24 track 2 inch machine. At Shady Bear we think outside of the box and we mix outside of the box. Once you hear your music spread across 24 glorious analog channels you'll never be satisfied with mixing in the computer. Besides working with solo artists, singer songwriters and bands, Shady Bear also counts a number of high-profile commercial clients on its roster including H & M, Head & Shoulders, 1-800 Flowers, & Ruth's Chris Steakhouse. Known for their "non-jingle jingle" Shady Bear Productions continues to be in demand for those clients seeking a more edgy tone and feel. Shady Bear Productions is a multimedia facility that provides artists with everything they need to create in a comfortable and friendly recording environment. Both 24 Track 2 inch as well as Digital recording offers the warmth of analog as well as the flexibilty of digital editing and automated mixing.
The heart of the studio is a vintage MCI JH636 console with twelve John Hardy preamps. Producer/Owner Anthony Robustelli is available to oversee your project from conception to completion. As a multi instrumentalist, vocalist and composer he can create the sonic textures you're looking for whether it be pop, jazz, rock, r& b, hip hop, or anything in between. With connections to top NYC studio musicians anything is possible from straight four piece rock and roll to jazz trios to classical quartets.
If you're looking to get away from the city to create your masterpiece, take advantage of the facilities at Shady Bear North. Situated on thirty acres in The Catskill Mountains, Shady Bear North offers a serene environment ideal for focusing on your art.
In addition to recording facilities, Shady Bear North offers accomodations that would make anyone feel right at home with a state of the art screening room with 7.1 channel surround sound, 9 foot screen, playstation, blu ray player, pool table, two outdoor fire pits, comfortable patio and deck with 360 degree views of the picturesque Catskill Mountains, and a full bar.
